Let’s put internationals in Norway on the map: Nominate Unlock Norway for the VIXEN Awards!

Belonging starts with understanding

Understanding a country isn’t just about learning its language. It’s about decoding systems, habits, and unspoken rules… those small details that make up everyday life.

International creators sit right at that intersection. We act as translators, not just of words, but of context: what’s normal, what’s confusing, and what’s unsaid.

When we share how to navigate the healthcare system, what feriepenger actually means, or why Norwegians love matpakke lunches, we’re not just giving “tips.” We’re helping people feel like they belong.

That’s what makes this kind of content so important—it’s knowledge that’s immediately usable. It helps people belong.

Vixen: awards for Norway’s top influencers

Every year, the VIXEN Awards celebrate Norway’s most inspiring creators: people who use social media to inform, connect, and shape culture.

But international voices are still rarely represented on that stage.

Unlock Norway is part of a growing movement changing that. For the past two years, we’ve been sharing life here through international eyes—turning confusion into connection and making Norway a little easier (and a little more human) to navigate.

If you believe in that, I’d love your support. It only takes a minute:
