These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors information about Unlock Norway, our events, and our community. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review this page periodically. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service.

In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right, and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

Our services

We may, without prior notice, change the services (events, products, membership subscriptions, ebooks, etc.) offered on this website; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Purchases made through this website

When purchasing anything through this website, you agree that:

• You are responsible for reading the full information available before making a commitment to buy it, and

• You enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and complete the check-out payment process.

 

​The stated price for the goods and services is the total price the buyer must pay. This price includes all taxes and additional costs. Additional costs that the seller has not informed about before the purchase shall not be borne by the buyer. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. All card transactions on our website are securely processed via Stripe.

Please be aware that all purchases made through this website are non-refundable unless otherwise stated clearly. Once a purchase is completed, no refunds will be provided. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please contact info[at]unlocknorway.com for queries on rebooking tickets.  Items such as digital products, tickets for specific dates, or purchases from private individuals are not eligible for the 14-day withdrawal period typically afforded to consumers.

Products purchased, such as ebooks or event tickets, are made available instantly. Ebooks can be downloaded immediately, and event tickets are promptly dispatched to your email.

Upon purchasing a membership, you are committed for the initially selected period. Members can manage their subscription directly, including cancellation, to prevent future billing at the end of the current cycle.

Given the digital nature of our products, they are not subject to the usual Right to Complain regarding defects of delivered goods. Nonetheless, Unlock Norway values your feedback and concerns about product quality. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion, based on valid feedback.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Unlock Norway be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, any services or information provided via this website.

 

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, posts, logos, marks, graphics, files, materials, services, products, videos, audio, applications, computer code, designs, downloads, and all other information here (collectively, the “Content”), is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property and unfair competition laws, with the exception of any content from others that we are lawfully permitted to use. You are granted a limited revocable license to print or download Content from the website for your own personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, informational, and educational use only while ensuring it’s not in violation of any copyright, trademark, and intellectual property or proprietary rights.

You agree not to copy, duplicate, steal, modify, publish, display, distribute, reproduce, store, transmit, post, create derivative works, reverse engineer, sell, rent, or license any part of the Content in any way to anyone, without our prior written consent. You agree to abide by copyright and trademark laws and intellectual property rights and shall be solely responsible for any violations of these terms and conditions.

Mandatory arbitration and governing law

You expressly waive your right to bring any legal claims, now or in the future, arising out of or related to the website and our products/services. In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of this website, the terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with the rules and regulations of Norway.

You agree to consent and submit to the jurisdiction of Norway without regard to the principles of conflict of law or where the parties are located at the time a dispute arises. You agree to resolve any disputes or claims first through mandatory arbitration in Norway and shall bear the full cost of arbitration as permitted by law. Your good faith participation in arbitration is a condition precedent to pursuing any other legal or equitable remedies available, such as litigation or any other legal procedure. You also agree that in the event a legal claim is initiated after the required arbitration, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and other costs associated with the legal action.

Conflict resolution

Complaints must be addressed to the seller within a reasonable time, cf. points 9 and 10. The parties must try to resolve any disputes amicably. Event policies

 

Event attendance code of conduct

Event attendees agree to follow the following code of conduct policies. Failure to follow the code of conduct will result in immediate removal from the group and future events.

• Embrace diversity, celebrate individual differences, and be kind and respectful to everyone.

• Be approachable and open to striking up conversations with newcomers. Let's create an inclusive atmosphere!

• Respect personal boundaries and avoid behavior that could make someone feel uncomfortable (that means no creepy vibes allowed!).

Event cancellation policy

If you're unable to attend a paid Unlock Norway (co-)hosted event after booking a ticket, we appreciate you informing us via email so we can make your ticket available to someone else!

​

Please note that once you've purchased a ticket for one of our events, we cannot offer refunds. This policy is subject to change and can be specified as something different on the individual event page, on the ticket sales page, or on the ticket itself. Please contact info[at]unlocknorway.com for queries on rebooking tickets (e.g. transferring to another person). ​

By entering your email address in the 'join our mailing list' form in the footer or on the Newsletter page, you agree to receive promotional messages and materials from us, by mail, email, or any other contact form you may provide us with (including your phone number for calls or text messages).
